CREATIVITY
krE-(")A-'ti-v&-tE
1 : the quality of being creative
2 : the ability to create
Perhaps one of my strongest attributes. Now I don't brag to be the best artist, the best
writer, the best web designer or even the most creative; if in the course I need
the best, I will seek them out (and have!). But I recognized at an early age that I
was indeed creative and continue to learn each new day that creativity knows no
limits except those one may place as limitations onto themselves. To that
end, I strive to observe and learn with each new day so that I can apply my creativity to the
domain at hand.
While easily observed by some through two dimensional works on paper or canvas
and such, creativity extends to dimensions far beyond what can be
translated through a brush or pen. Over the course of years my creativity
has been applied to challenges ranging from the design and build of mechanical prototypes, production lines and
even entire production plants and buildings, business strategies, processes and profit-oriented
solutions, and, yes, even to
paper and canvas for fun, profit and not-for-profit (pro bono). And while it would be difficult
at
best to document and demonstrate all of those accomplishments, included
are some of my portfolio examples.

Creativity may be defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others.
Creativity is any act, idea, or product that changes an existing domain, or that transforms an existing domain into a new one...
In order to be creative, you need to be able to view things in new ways or from a different perspective. Among other things, you need to be able to generate new possibilities or new alternatives. Tests of creativity measure not only the number of alternatives that people can generate but the uniqueness of those alternatives.
The ability to generate alternatives or to see things uniquely does not occur by change; it is linked to other, more fundamental qualities of thinking, such as flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity or unpredictability, and the enjoyment of things heretofore unknown.
